Terms of Service
The plain-English agreement for using Bee Hive. · Last updated 28 June 2026.
1. Agreement
These Terms are a contract between you and Bee Hive (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Bee Hive website or app (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
2. Who can use Bee Hive
You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or guardian of your household to create an account. By signing up you confirm this, and you agree that you are responsible for your family’s use of the Service, including any members you add. Children use the Service only through a profile a parent creates and controls — children may not create their own accounts.
3. Your account
Keep your password and any family PINs confidential; you’re responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@beehivetasks.com if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that we’re required to act on by law.
4. Acceptable use
Use Bee Hive for your own family’s household coordination. Don’t misuse the Service — for example: don’t break the law, infringe others’ rights, upload harmful or abusive content, attempt to access other families’ data, probe or disrupt the Service, or use it to harass or surveil anyone. You’re responsible for the content you and your members add.
5. Families & children
As the account holder you decide what information to enter about your family members, including children, and you consent on their behalf to our processing it to run your family’s system, as described in the Privacy Policy. You agree to use Bee Hive’s features — including points, reminders, and optional location — in a way that’s appropriate and safe for your family.
6. Subscriptions & payments
Bee Hive may be offered free or as a paid subscription. When paid billing is enabled, fees, billing cycle, and any free trial are shown before you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe, and you can cancel anytime — your subscription stays active through the period you’ve paid for. If you subscribe through Apple or Google, that store’s billing and refund terms also apply. Taxes may be added where required.
7. Your data & content
Your family’s data is yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to host and operate the Service for you (store, process, back up, and display your content to your family). We don’t sell your data and we don’t use it for advertising. You can export or delete your data at any time — see Delete your account.
8. Service availability
We work to keep Bee Hive running reliably, but the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we’ll give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bee Hive is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Bee Hive is a household-organisation tool — it is not a safety, security, medical, or emergency service, and you shouldn’t rely on it as one (including location reminders). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
10. Termination
You can stop using Bee Hive and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms. On deletion, your family’s data is permanently removed as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; we’ll change the date above and, for material changes, notify account holders where appropriate. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law & contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Bee Hive operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions? Email hello@beehivetasks.com.
